A desperate shopaholic will always find a way May 31
When I was planning my trip, I also planned on my monthly savings to cover my travel expenses. However, I wasn’t able to stick to my savings plans. I comforted myself with the thought that I have a credit card and I left some money inside the luggage I left to my brother in Singapore. Besides, I won’t have to pay for my lodging and I can just eat at my brother’s house instead of eating out.
Unfortunately, the cost of living in Singapore, even if you have free food and lodging is still quite high compared to living in Manila or Bangkok. Specially now that it’s the Great Singapore Sale. Oh the agony.
I was counting on my salary coming at the end of the month, but my co-worker who was supposed to send the invoice last Friday (so we can at least have the money by Monday or Tuesday), forgot to send it, and it was only sent to the client midday Monday.
In desperation, I asked my mother for a loan and had her pay for my credit card bill (it’s only a couple of thousand away from the limit). Ah, the madness.
My defense is that I’m doing my Christmas shopping now. Then again, where will I put all these things I bought? Gah.
